Random Thoughts and Update

On the fifth Thursday of the month, I usually update all of you on the progress of my second book, the story of my life/faith journey. This month… I don’t want to. Not because progress is horrible (although it’s not good) but because writing about the progress has not equaled any progression to date.

So let’s just enjoy the end of the month of June as it opens up into July. Much rain here this month, felt like we lived in the tropics. Finally some sun today, and then, it rained while the sun was shining. Ah, New England.

As the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus comes to a close, I will share this (I feel like I should share something), a little thought that came to me a few weeks ago:

I tried to remember my soul, to look within my heart for peace and guidance, and I imagined the Lord saying to me:

I am your life.

Hide yourself within my heart

and I will never let you go.

And one more thing, related to the previous in the mysterious way of divine truth: Have a happy Independence Day!

Although crippled by disease, I'm fully alive in love. I write about the terrible beauty and sacred wonder of life, while living with physical disability and severe dependency. A revert to the Catholic faith through atheism, I'm not afraid to ask life's big questions. I explore what it means to be fully human through my weekly blog and have written a book: It's Good to Be Here, published by Sophia Institute Press.
