Time Well Spent

An alarm clock

Are we having fun yet?

Summer always flies by too fast! All of those things that you wanted to do — or all of those things that you thought you should do — need to get crammed in to just a few months of warm weather. No pressure. Yeah, right. Where I live in New England, this is especially true because we know that winter is coming and summer is precious. Sadly, however, we put too much pressure upon ourselves to have a picture-perfect summertime. What really is the best way to live these sunny days? What really is the best way to live each and every day?

Here’s a video that I made a few years ago reflecting on this question. It’s just over five minutes and, I assure you, it’s time well spent. 🙂

Happy August!

Although crippled by disease, I'm fully alive in love. I write about the terrible beauty and sacred wonder of life, while living with physical disability and severe dependency. A revert to the Catholic faith through atheism, I'm not afraid to ask life's big questions. I explore what it means to be fully human through my weekly blog and have written a book: It's Good to Be Here, published by Sophia Institute Press.
