Here We Go Again

Not only did 2023 come quickly, but so did the first Thursday of January! I almost forgot to write this post, so I’m writing on the fly. Bear with me.
Another year starts with me, yet again, trying to write my memoir. Although the year is early, it’s been going pretty well. (Save the small asthma flare up I am currently experiencing.) Last year, I did not fulfill my resolution to complete a first draft of my second book and get it looked at by someone. Therefore, I am not making a resolution this new year! I’m just going to try my best and cut out as many distractions as I can. To that end, I will be going back to posting here on the first and third Thursdays of every month and on the fifth Thursdays when there is one. Please keep me in your prayers!
I am praying for all of you, dear readers, praying that you will have a blessed, healthy, and fulfilling 2023. May we all grow closer to God, to one another, and to becoming the people that God created us to be. Translating from French the traditional New Year’s blessing that my mother’s family say, “Happy new year! Good health, all that you desire, and paradise at the end of your days.”

Although crippled by disease, I'm fully alive in love. I write about the terrible beauty and sacred wonder of life, while living with physical disability and severe dependency. A revert to the Catholic faith through atheism, I'm not afraid to ask life's big questions. I explore what it means to be fully human through my weekly blog and have written a book: It's Good to Be Here, published by Sophia Institute Press.
Thank you, Christina!
May God prosper your soul also, and give you the desires of your heart. ❤

Hi Christina and Happy New Year!
I am been very busy with damages done to my beach house in Wells Beach Maine!
The waves from the ocean water crashed over the sea walls and roads at the same time that the salt water marshes flooded and met the water from the ocean.
So we’re dealing with insurance adjusters (not fun)!
I do have a group of great workers that I have used throughout the years to repair damages.
The good news is that I am going to an Epiphany party tomorrow at my Godchild’s home, Jo-Ann Belanger!
I wish you a Happy Epiphany day
surrounded by good and good Cheers!
Love,
Joan Bussiere

Hoping all is going well with the damage repairs and that the joy and love of the Epiphany party carries all throughout this new year!
