A Word or 137 from Jesus

Posted on the Feast of the Ascension…
Be not afraid.
I will be with you always.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all of your soul, with all of your strength.
Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
This is my body, which will be given up for you.
Love one another as I have loved you.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Honor your mother and father.
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Judge not lest you be judged.
Forgive seventy times seven.
The measure with which you measure shall be measured out to you.
God loves a cheerful giver.
You will have tribulations in this world, but take heart, I have overcome the world.
Take up your cross and follow me.
Be not afraid.
I will be with you always.
These are words to live by… Words from the Word of Life… Words to reflect upon and to put into action every day of my life.
Jesus meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto thine.

Although crippled by disease, I'm fully alive in love. I write about the terrible beauty and sacred wonder of life, while living with physical disability and severe dependency. A revert to the Catholic faith through atheism, I'm not afraid to ask life's big questions. I explore what it means to be fully human through my weekly blog and have written a book: It's Good to Be Here, published by Sophia Institute Press.
Christina,
Thank you so much!
The most Beautiful recollection I will read again and again!
God Bless you.

Thank you for reflecting with me! I, too, revisited these words of Jesus after reading your comment. 🙂
