Advent Prayers

Free, original Advent prayers that you can download, print, and pray at home as you light the candles of the Advent wreath! One prayer for each Sunday in Advent. Links to accompanying reflections also included below, as well as the symbolism for each Advent candle.

These prayers focus on the Mystery of the Incarnation, reflecting on the littleness of God in the flesh while providing you and your family with hope, encouragement, gratitude, sacred wonder, and joy. The prayers are inspired by my book, It’s Good to Be Here, and its chapter on Christ’s Nativity, emphasizing the wonder of God in the womb of the Virgin Mary. As Our Blessed Mother prepared for the birth of her son, Our Lord, you will make holy preparations for your celebration of Christmas by pondering the mysteries of the divine pregnancy through these life-affirming prayers. A wonderful way to celebrate the season while respecting life!
